I do a party and a gift.
The max I’ve spent on a party and gift combined though was between $700-$800, for his 10th birthday. $2000 is a bit steep for a party the child likely won’t remember in a few years.
2k on a 4 year old birthday party.good for you. Most parents do their best to afford a cake and ice cream.and you can’t buy present.
Is this even a question? It is of course your choice but a party once over is gone, a gift will last a lot longer and at that age they have no concept of money and are highly likely to not remember the party
