Has anyone had a young child experience reoccurring fevers (over a month or longer) without really any other symptoms?
There’s never a fever for no reason. Fevers for over a month? Take that child to a Dr. Something is going on even if there’s no other symptoms you can see.
I remember reading about a child who constantly had fevers. They’d take him to the Dr or hospital. Nothing was found. He’d also get hurt, had bruises everywhere but never cried. They didn’t know what was going on. Turns out he had a rare Illiness which his body can’t regulate temperature, feel pain & other things I can’t remember. It took a lot of persistence from the parents to get him diagnosed. Do not let doctors dismiss your child’s symptoms.
Not my child but a good friend has a child diagnosed with Periodic Fever Syndrome. Talk to your pediatrician about your child’s symptoms asap.
