If you’ve called and not heard back I would personally go down there. They can’t ignore you if you’re standing in front of them
“Still investigating” my foot!!! Idgaf if they are still investigating! Your child was hurt and you should have been called immediately! I switched to a charter school for similar issues! I was beyond done with the school and school district! Best decision we’ve made for our daughter! She literally came home everyday for months saying, there’s no bullies at my new school mom!?! So sad and disgusting the things they allow at that school! Of course every school has issues but we have been at this school 6th to 9th grade now and it is way different. So much better
Help a mama out and respond anonymously on our forum. The school didn't call me, what do I do next? - Mamas Uncut
Keep asking, keep calling, write emails. If still nothing in a week call the board of governors/ pta meeting
Call the parent and have a face to face conversation
Take pics and maybe meet with principle and counselor next week? Most times they try to resolve and make the kids besties.
Teach her to fight back. A bully bullies you because they think you’re weak.
Stay persistent. Keep detailed logs of all communications with all school officials and go to the next school board meeting! Whether they are still investigating or not they should have contacted you over the incident and mentioned its still under investigation.
You’re calmer than I would be! I would want response, now!
Make a formal complaint with the district.
I’d be at the school house demanding a meeting with the teacher, principal and other parent.
First speak to the teacher, i nothing is done then go to the principal. If nothing is done still, go to the board of trustees.
If the school doesn’t want to do anything, get the authorities involved. This is NOT ok! Don’t wait too long!
I hope they punish that person
I’d be going right into the school
Talk to your local news station seems that they get things done
Go to the school and demand the principal and teacher talk to u and the other girls mom
File a complaint with the school district!
Get in touch with the school board, if the school isn’t doing anything.
This happens to my boys quite often . I tell them to tell the teacher and so on and if the kid touches my kid after so long I tell my kids to defend them self .
I contact the school
We come up with other solutions to have a more positive approach but I wont allow my boys to feel tormented
Take pictures. I was always told to take it to school board.
Superintendent of the school system
I would honestly go to the school and demand to speak with the principal.
Id. Tell. Her to. Kick. Her. Ass its. Not. Like it. Used to. Be
Go in person meeting with both Principal and teacher, and actually demand meeting with the parents as well.
Police report. Period
Go to the school and raise hell
Idk but if you push their buttons and become annoying they will throw an anonymous cps report in retaliation so be careful This is why I homeschool and so many other reasons
Omg that young and fighting mama go in to the school raise hell
Bust down that door and let them know if it ever happens again you will burn that shit to the ground❤️
I had an incident with the school & I called CBS 11. It made the 6pm news the following day. My son & I told our story at 4pm in front of the school and I picked him up with the news crew & cameras. They couldn’t sweep that under the rug.
Complain to the Superintendent…
I’m not sure how you can prove anything happened, since there are no cameras in the bathroom, but go to the authorities. Go to the BOE.
I wouldnt be calling i be at the school having a nice talk w teachers n principal js
I would physically go to the school and bring someone as a whitness.
Superintendent meeting -
Years ago when my youngest son was in 2nd grade and oldest in fourth, youngest came home with a large bruise on his flank, near kidney. When asked son I was told another kid, numerous issues with, had kicked him. Went to school to ask why I was not notified of altercation and was told first she heard of it. It happened on playground in recess. Teacher said she couldn’t watch every kid every minute. Last year my sons attended public school until college. Sons are 26 and 28
Pics police school board.
When the teacher didn’t listen l went to school, and told the teacher that she had a permanent parent helping her until problem was resolved.
They all sweep it under the rug if you let them…
You must be their advocate and be up at her school as much as possible. .
You should have been notified regardless of they’re still investigating. There is physical proof (please say you took a picture) that she was assaulted.
If you have proof, technically you could involve the police.
Full court press!
Also school board…that’s what they are there for
Oh no!! I would be at that school. And if nothing is done. School board. That kid got away with assaulting another student. She will do it again.
I would definitely go in and talk to whoever you can about this. My daughter was having issues with this boy in her class he even went as far as to follow her to the bathroom and poked his head under her stall. My daughter had issues with this boy all year, he made threats to her life which the school then did call the cops because the kid brought his dads knife to school… I didn’t find out about the bathroom incident until about 3 days after when I was going on a field trip with my daughter. The principal casually tells me while we’re all on the bus about “the incident”… Had I of known sooner I would of tried to get it taken care of sooner. I’m sorry your daughters going through that.
write down on a piece of paper the day of incident with details of what your daughter said, take a pic with your phone of the mark on her, call the school board to file a grievance or complaint, that teacher knew but failed to call you is unacceptable
Mama bear would definitely come out at that point and I’d go down to the school but my husband would probably beat me there to raise hell. Do not let that slide.
Did the teacher know about the incident? Your message may have been the first time they were hearing about it.
Press charges with the police
Police report (even if they don’t give it to you just so you can tell them you actually tried to file one, principals office & superintendents office. Don’t make appointments just show up. Make them know you won’t give up!
Call your school board!
Police report. And take it to the skool board.
Take it to a higher up !
If you email and put a letter in writing using words like “bullying” and you want an investigation , by law they need to have one and bring in certain ppl to do it ( they have to assemble a committee to investigate it and document everything so everything has a paper trail and they can’t just “ sweep it under the rug ), I’d also make a police report so it is documented .
School superintendent school board your local Representatives
Schools are really NOT handling bullying issues well this year….I think the staff is focused on following policies and procedures “for Covid” then the students and those who hurt/bully others.
I have heard NOTHING but stories about kids getting hurt, into fights, having their food taken by peers, being kicked, bit, punched etc this year especially.
If the teacher can’t clarify. Demand to speak to the principal and if that goes no one contact your school board rep. This is happening FAR TOO OFTEN and it’s being ignored.
No excuse, you don’t wait till a investigation is down to tell a child’s parents
Call Police. That is assault.
Get the police and school board involved
Superintendent over the school district press charges
Oh no I’m sorry but I’d go to the girls door to make sure it wouldn’t happen again
Did they even know it happened?
Give you daughter permission to rock that other girls shit
threaten to bring it public like in newspapers and such if they don’t do something about it. have pictures and document everything as well.
File a Police report either with the school police or your nearest police department!
Board of education, news then lawyer!
Stop making phone calls and start sending emails. Document everything very carefully, very calmly, with all of the facts and ask them what they plan to do to move it forward. It’s much harder for them to sweep things under the rug when there is documentation that can be used in court. This will also teach them to be very careful when it comes to you and your daughter moving forward. I agree with the people above that the superintendent also should be added to the list of people on the email, and that you need to follow up. The police department will most likely tell you that it’s a school matter and they can’t get involved yet, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t make them aware. And you may also want to think about getting self-defense courses for your daughter.
Pull up to that school like…
That is assault. File a police report immediately.
First thing is make your point IN PERSON. HAVE A RECORD OF IT FROM THE POLICE.
I wouldve turned it into the cops
Are you in polk county tn sounds alot like their school system
You file a police report & get a restraining order.
That’s how you handle that. Your child was assaulted.
Show up. My son got into an altercation one afternoon. The teacher called me. I was at the school first thing the next morning. I actually had to sit and wait while the principal reviewed what was going on because he hadn’t read the report yet. Also, know the law in your state. When they say they aren’t going to do anything, respond with the statute and let them know if they don’t handle things, you will press charges. A it worked for me.
Calll the cops on the little p s y c h o
Schoolboard and if that doesn’t resolve anything contact police and press charges
There is a federal program for public schools if they follow the behavior guidelines and have no bullying incidents or low numbers they qualify for grants. Remember low incidents on file results in extra federal money. This is apart of the anti bullying program which seems to have created just the opposite of it’s intentions.
Well I’m a mother that would March my butt right down there and raise all holy hell
Oh hell no…they should hav called u when it happened!! I would be completely livid! I’d be making a stop in at my local police station to report the fight and get a police report! Then I’d call the school board! Then I’d be letting that principal know anything that happens to my child no matter what it is, if you do not in the future call me before you do anything else you then I will make.it my mission to make sure that you will not have a job anymore!!
This has happened to many times at to many schools and even tho each school says they have a no bullying policy they still let chit go down and try to hide it or make it seem less then what it was!
My child she’s 13 has been Instructed to let the bully know if you put your hands on me again or come into my personal space again I will be forced to defend myself and fight back!! My kid protects those who get bullied and has been given my permission if needed to put her hands on a bully and teach them a lesson… Apparently that’s the only way to teach said bullies anymore since the schools are tolerating it and doing nothing about it!!
Then I’d make sure I ran down to my local news station and let them know that this particular school allows bullying and doesn’t even contact parents when a kid is physically kicked in the chest!
Even a threat with going to the news generally kicks a principal in high gear because they don’t want the negative backlash from news or the community!!!
Stand your ground!
I also recommend classes for your child depending on their age! With the world like it is today my child will always know how to defend herself against those who pick on people and act like crappy little humans!!!
Mine has known how to use a firearm property since she was 5…she knows how to use a bow and a cross bow and all knives as well! She will defend herself at all costs!! She will kick anyone’s butt who deserves it and I will praise her for what she did once she is done!!
Don’t come at me with negative comments either …She’s my child I will raise her the way I see fit!! I don’t need anyone telling me any different!!
This is nothing but advice from a parent who was bullied and who has a child who’s been bullied!
Good luck and God bless!
I don’t know where you live, but at 8 years old in third grade you can legally file charges against a child here in Oregon.
My daughter 3rd grade daughter was hit upside the head with a lunch tray at full force. The school didn’t contact me and when I found out I lost my shit. I told the school they were gonna either solve the problem or I was gonna press charges and have an open case of CPS brought in on the school and the child’s parents and I would go as far as file charges at the police station.
The kid was suspended for a week and hasn’t touched my daughter since. Idk what they did or said but my child is now highly protected. I swear I just had to put the fear of god into them.
Teachers are not protected from being held responsible for other students. Every teacher that was in the lunch room could of prevented my daughter from being attacked and no one was paying attention. I could of slapped negligence on each and everyone.
I would be on their doorstep and I’m telling ya….if they didn’t call me when my child was attacked I would hand them their ass.
Police report, hopefully CPS investigate the other child’s home life. As terrible as it is for her to do that to your child, it probably means she might have learned that somewhere. Completely inappropriate that the school didn’t contact you, I would go to the school board about.
Does your state have safe 2 tell if so make a report on there that will get the right people involved including police
Police report and go to the school in person
Contact the school board if you haven’t heard from the principal or teacher within a day or two.
Go to the school!!! Record everything!!! Take them to the higher ranks. Fight the kids mother in front of her especially if the school isn’t gonna do shit!
Go to school n let the child point at who kicked her…
I’d show up and call the cops on that little girl not touching my babies nope
If you haven’t already make sure to take a picture of the mark and if it bruises after.
Me myself would being making a trip to the school not just calling them get the girl an her parents together that girl should get punish for what she did nobody an I mean nobody would ever be aloud to put there hands on my kids or grandkids ever I dont so nobody else will either not a teacher principal nobody my kids are grow I now have grandkids that are in school dont u ever let somebody put there hander’s on u or ur kid’s an do anything about it u come to me an make sure ur kid’s can come to u an tell u what happen nope not this mom or grandma not today not yesterday not never but they also know that they are not aloud to put there hand’s on anybody either unless it is to protect them self’s from being harm js
Chain of command , school board is next , then law enforcement , then an attorney !
Police report and go in person to talk to school take pictures of any marls
3rd grade?! Hell no. Id wait in the bathroom for the lil shit and wrap her in toilet paper, soak her with toilet water and let her get laughed at. Dont touch my baby.
Honestly though raise hell with the school. You don’t sit and “investigate”. You get up and be proactive. That little girl assaulted another student.
School board and police
Should hace taken pictures … and filed a pokice reprt…
Don’t call show up at the school and raise hell
I would show up with a cop and get answers like look my kid was assaulted no contact! I’m taking my child out of school and get child safely and walk away have cop serve papers
Alot of schools sweep it under the carpet, 12yr boy kicked my daughter in the rib he was well known for being a bully to other kids but his biggest mistake he made was, when he thought he could bully my daughter yip im that mother who goes to the school straight to the classroom no fcking around with teachers straight to the source by time I finished with him well put it this way, my daughter came home and told me he apologized to her Lmao and he never ever went near her again after that
